Solar energy is the mother of most renewable energies on earth. The sun powers natural cycles on earth like the wind, water flow and plant growth. But the sun is also such a reliable source of heat and light that we sometimes take it for granted. Generations have used glass and other materials and structures to capture and magnify the sun's energy and these systems have gradually evolved to form the basis of mature techniques that are used today to harness solar energy. There are 3 basic approaches used today that JAGTech Ltd provide to gain maximum benefit of solar energy in buildings: passive architecture, active solar heating and solar photovoltaic systems.
This is a building design approach which seeks to:
This technology uses solar collectors to transform sunlight into heat to provide space and/or, more commonly, water heating. A correctly sized solar water heating system will cover 50-60% of your hot water heating requirement with free solar energy. Today over 3 million households use a solar heating system in Europe.
Photovoltaic systems use semiconductor materials to convert solar energy into electricity. This technology is widely used in consumer products such as solar calculators, watches or garden lights, and is increasingly used as a cost-effective solution in Ireland for stand-alone applications where a grid connection is too expensive (e.g. parking meters, caravans or remote holiday homes).
Jagtech hot water cylinders are manufactured from high quality SAF Stainless Steel. This ensures that each cylinder is resistant to all types of corrosion. Due to their intelligent construction our cylinders are both light weight and exceptionally durable.
These cylinders are ideally suited for both vented and pressurised hot water systems. They are available in any coil configuration. Highly efficient solar hot water systems revolve around Jagtech Solar Cylinders.
Built to our usual high standard these cylinders come fully tested and guaranteed for life.
Working in conjunction with market leading manufacturers in the solar energy field, Jagtech can provide the perfect solar package.
Evacuated tube solar collectors are ideally suited for northern hemisphere climates. They are highly efficient and work extremely well in cloudy weather conditions. They absorb energy from the sun and transfer it to the systems hot water cylinder. Available energy is pumped throughout the system using the Giacosun solar pump station.
This energy is transferred to the domestic hot water via the high efficiency solar coil found in all Jagtech Solar Cylinders.
